Painted the F4
Some of you may remember my post asking what red scheme to choose. After going to PPG 3 times and Dupont 2 times, neither of them could match the honda red. I just finally ended up repainting the whole thing.
If anyone knows a good place to buy basecoat of R157 let me know. Colorrite is great but 108$ for a pint is way too much.
Here she is before and after.
Maggie at work...
And if anyone wants to buy it, selling it for 4K here:

Looks good. Looks Real good.
Hmmmm.....were you leaving the blinkers off on purpose for better aerodynamics?? Or is it just not back together

Thanks a lot. I just hadn't put the front blinkers on. I got the stock ones but I'm going to put some flushmounts on it when I get the chance.

Looks good. I'm not sure why the paint shops aren't able to get the paint codes for bikes. Im guessing its just for that reason, to keep the paint nice and expensive from the factory.
Did any of the places use a color matching camera? Another option would be to go to a paint store that paints bikes, and see if they have the formula for the honda red.

Very nice paint scheme - I like what you've done.
Speaking of what you've done... what happened to the fairings on that 600RR?

Thanks again!
I got the rr with a rashed left fairing and the tail. I'm painting them tonight actually so it'll be back together in a bit.

Yeah it's strange. The guy at Dupont was telling me how he's really trying to start getting motorcycle colors from them.
Both PPG and Dupont used the color matching scanner and every time it came up with a different formula and completely off colors. All from the same spot on the fairing. The tatanium got matched ok but the red is hopeless.
I'm using the Colorrite base for the RR. It matches perfectly just really expensive. But it just needs 2 fairings painted and there's no point repainting the whole thing because the rest is perfect.
