Here's a good idea...
Take out all the gear that you wear when you ride, set it up on the floor and take a pic. Let us know your likes/dislikes about what you have. This should be helpful for all the people that always ask "what kind of boots, what kind of xxx". Plus it'll give a good review of brands of gear all in one.
Alpinestars 2 piece suit:
-Alpinestars TZ-1 Jacket
-Alpinestars Track Pants
Alpinestars SMX Plus Boots
Frank Thomas gloves
Icon Mainframe Halo Helmet
Suit-- Pros: Breathes relatively good when moving, seems to be pretty durable although I haven't wrecked in it yet (knocking on wood). Relatively comfortable while riding as well as off the bike walking the pit or whatnot.
Cons: Hot as a mofo when not moving. The zipper that joins the jacket to the pants is a little longer on the jacket. The same zipper seems to be of low quality compared to the other zippers on the suit.
Boots-- Pros: Very comfortable on and off the bike. Very light. They have removeable toe sliders (which I guess is a good thing).
Cons: Again, hot as hell when not moving. A little difficult to move shifting foot up when shifting (they are a little TOO rigid i guess you could say). And it is somewhat of a pain in the ass zipping up the zipper that goes from the top of your foot to the top of your boot.
Gloves-- Pros: They are very comfy. The vents on the knuckles actually work. I have NEVER had a case of the funk hands. I've had them for three years and never ever do they stink after riding.
Cons: Can't think of any
Helmet-- Pros: Pretty quiet when riding. I used to get headaches with my old helmet (Nolan flip face) but not with this one. It's really easy to change the visor to a different one or just to remove it to clean thoroughly. It is very comfortable even though it's a bit on the snug side.
Cons: It's hot. Even with all the vents on that damn thing, it still doesn't breathe very good even when moving unless you have the visor open.
Here's a couple pics. A couple action shots for your asses too.

So far..
-a pair of Motodry boots which can be worn with normal every day long pants. Bought brand new from the local bike shop.
-Lazer brand helmet bought on ebay brand new. Way too expensive to buy at shops here.
- Reflex Schoeler bike pants new from the local bike shop. These are pretty comfortable even in the summer heat and have plenty of padding.
- Fieldsheer water proof jacket new from the local bike shop. The jacket is suitable for winter, spring and fall.
- a pair of Shoei gloves bought 2nd hand from ebay for about $20AU.
I am on a pretty tight budget.

Hey Alaska, how do you like those Teknic gloves (the red violators)? I bought the same ones for my Dad for Christmas, wondering if you had any complaints..

HJC AC-11 helmet: My first helmet so I have nothing to compare it to but I have no problems with it. No lift at any speed, I can ride all day in it, really easy to switch shields.
Alpinestars GPU 1-piece: I wear this every time I ride. Been down 3 times in it and its just a little bit scuffed up.
Alpinestars Tech Race back protector: I don't even realize its there anymore. Feels good knowing I have that extra bit of armor protecting my spine.
Alpinestars GP Plus gloves: Beats my old firstgear gloves hands down, they were $70 and nowhere near the fit, quality or protection of the Alpinestars. My only complaint is one of the seams is off and I can feel it with my middle finger on the clutch lever and its kind of annoying but I think I might have just gotten a defect pair.
Sidi Vertigo boots: I love everything about these. I feel a lot more safe than with my old steel toe work boots I used to ride in. They're extremely light and flexible with thin soles to feel footpeg feedback but the vibrations never get to me.
