Well, I decided to post them here...more exposure that way!!!
Anyway, for those that don't know (I know...those that know me are probably tired of hearing it...sorry!) I race a 2001 YZ80 (#72) in mini-moto. It's just like super motard but on the little bikes. This is my second season and have really come a long way. I finally have the courage/confidence to pass people. Attached are pics from our last race of this season....holy cow am I impressed with me!!!! I am not sure how much closer racing can get without "rubbing" !
All of these pics were taken at my most favorite turn on the track...turn 6. Because I am so much slower than the rest of the two-strokes, the guys let me run in the four stroke class. So because of that I didn't get any points, but the experience was worth so much more than the points. Now because I really suck at the starts, usually the field gets in front of me...eventually I'll be able to launch that two-stroke consistently but until then, I have to rely on my hp to catch up....it's not a bad thing. So in the first picture I am trying to catch up to our buddy Joe #84 and my bf (hawker) #66.
In the second picture I am passing #30 (Joe and Mike had already gotten by him).
The third picture I am closing in on Joe....it's obvious this is the place I like to pass people the most...not sure why because it is NOT an easy turn.
And finally....the SINGLE COOLEST MOMENT OF THE ENTIRE SEASON was captured in this shot. It was the closest pass I have ever made....I didn't panic and I didn't take anyone out!!! It just shows I have potential for even more next year. Hopefully I will be competitive in my own class next year.
So if any of you are ever in WI next season and want to check out some AWESOME racing, let me know!!! I hope you all enjoy the pictures!
Wow! Great pics. Looks like you really stuck that pass. How much fun is that?!
OMG I get goosebumps and my eyes tear up when I think about it....IT WAS AWESOME!!!! Nothing like the "oh shit, I'm gonna die" factor followed up with "Hell yes! I KNEW I could do it!!!" It's the best...I am addicted...it's not right!
Great pics and it looks like it was a close race. What fun!

Life may not be the party I had hoped for........... But while I'm here I might just as well listen to the music and dance....
Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. Dance like nobody's watching. Sing like nobody's listening. Live like it's Heaven on Earth.
Experience is a hard teacher because she gives the test first, the lesson afterwards.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! How'd you get into doing that though?? Which one you like better...this type of stuff or road racing the R6?
THANKS!!!
It's all my bf's fault...he bought the TTR...I scoffed at him...he made me ride it...I dug it...went and bought the YZ a couple of months later! I started on ice the year I bought it (2003) and then we decided to motard. Actually, that is why he bought the TTR in the first place. I am not sure how he found out about the club...but we have been hooked ever since the first time.
Right now I have to say I prefer the motard...I've had more saddle time there. I don't really race the R6, I just ride it around the track at a slow speed!!! What I can say is that motard has significantly improved my street riding. Maybe someday I'll look into road racing, but right now this is where it's at for me.
Oh yeah, we bought two more bikes on Thursday...another YZ80 and another TTR125...so here's our current stable: 2 TTR125's, 2 YZ80's, 1 PW80, 1 YSR50 and 2 R6's....SOMEONE HELP US!!!!! WE ARE SICK!!!!
