bweahahahahaahahahhahah

that's seriously the funniest shit I've read all day. thank you.

FYI,. the yamaha frames are probably (and yea, I'm biased) THE strongest frames out there. You should see my crash pics. And my frame is perfectly straight. Trust me, they are NOT weak.

Yamaha frames have a good rep. And he should be worried about his forks, not his frame. He should also be worried about the skin on his arms. Doesn't look like he worries much at all ;)

hey Poulson, first off, I'm a girl, not a dude (no offense taken, just setting the record straight)

I will concede there are some bikes that are (or seem to be) designed more for one thing over the other. The r6 seems (IMO) to be more race oriented (hence the r for race), the gix (again IMHO) seems to be more stunt oriented as does the Honda. I know you're not hatin on the yamaha's and that's totally cool. But there isn't a bike in the world that is designed for what a lot of stunt bikes go through. The r6 is no exception. I would bet if enough threads were searched, the same thing could be said about any of them (the frames are weak, they crack, etc). You've heard the uproar w/the new Gix1k frames right? same concept. Bikes are not designed to go the abuse that we as a consumer put them through. They are not designed to ridden on the rear wheel for miles on end (hence blown motors), tilted on the nose repeatedly over and over (hence cracked frames), thrown into walls (either by accident or otherwise) hence the cracking w/the 05 gix. You get my point.

The pic you attached is a 2002/2003. I am pretty partial to Yammi's I admit it. Here is my bike. It is a 2000 decked out to race. The second pic is what it looked like after I wrecked it. Trust me, yami frames are strong.

very nice and sorry about the girl thing. I like the r1 a lot. It would probably be the one I'll get when I move up to a liter bike (I heard it's got a lot of leg room and I'm tall so that's a plus). How does it feel though? I just sat on my first yamaha tonight (my friend's 05 r6). I felt more on it than a part of it. I thought the handle bars were too close together and it actually felt like my 250 but was acutally a bit heavier than my gixxer. Does any of that sound like the r1? I wouldn't think so but I'm just wondering.

oh and what I also like about that pic of the 02-03 r1 is how the tank is. I don't like the kind of half metal half plastic tank on the 05. Any idea if the 06 is going to have that changed back?

thanks

i've ridden a friends of mines r6 (05) and loved it. My r1 I feel is a bit more roomier but I would expect it to be as well. I got another friend w/an 04 R1 that I can't hardly ride b/c of the way it is set up (works for him, but he has about 120 pounds more than I do) but it is as roomy as my bike. I doubt they will change back the tank, I could be wrong, but I don't see it happening. I like the all metal tank too.

oh, not a prob about the girl thing.

hey I never did say anything about the pics. They are some good looking stoppies, I gotta give your boy props. More htan I could try to do. They look nice.
