I have a painter. I have picked my colors. I know the basics of how I would like them but need some help with the detail of the paint scheme. Where and which direction to place the pointed graphics? How to lay them on top one another creatively? Symmetry from side to side is necessary but the graphics themselves don't need fit perfectly (There are pictures of a green/yellow bike and an orange helmet that show what I mean on this). I want to keep it simple to paint so there is little need for airbrushing. I should be able to create a stencil for some parts if necessary, like the GSXR logo.
I appreciate any ideas you have and if you have the time and are able to throw a graphic together with Photoshop or the free GIMP
it would help tremendously. If I can find a reasonable way to incorporate your recognition into the design, I will happily do so.
See the links below. Thanks!
Firstly, this is a link to my public photobucket album for this project if it makes things easier. The links further below will help explain the differences between the photos.
This is basically what I am going for. I like the silver and white graphics, sharp points, bright colors, and general abstract look.
I like some of the graphics outlines on this one also regarding placement and direction of the pointed shapes, not the flames.
I like the rough edging of this and was even considering trying to implement this somewhere on the bike (maybe the undertail or tank somehow).
Here's where I am so far with sketches using .jpg files and photoshop .psd files. Manipulate as you please. Beware, some of the .psd files are around 50MB.
Here is where I am as of right now:
Blank sketch of side
Top of tail downward sketch
Top of tank downward sketch
Normal side view of actual bike
GSXR1000 graphic in as scalable vector graphic
Silver and white graphics but I don't care for the splattered paint effect
Tail from top view
