if you have the plate mounted at the rear by the taillight, maybe consider getting those ones that bolt right to your plate. they're prob not 100% legal since they wouldn't be far enough apart, but definitely better than an integrated taillight

Thinking about something like this. They are metal, not plastic.

Also need to find mirrors. Something super cool and not the standard round crappy bar end stuff that has been done a thousand time.

greg- are you sayin that those tiny little triangle lights will be better (more visible) than an integrated tailight? If so I gotta disagree with ya. Everytime I see those things I wanna tell the rider that the light is so faint that they should ditch them for a good (high quality) integrated tail light.

However if ya were only referring to the legality of the lights thats another matter all together.

Just my two cents, cheers!

Xtremjeepn- the bike looks awesome!!!!!!!

I looked and looked for an integrated tail light for the T509 Speed Triple and it simply does not exist. It was hard enough to find that LED tail light.

I have an integrated LED light on my 07 R1 and love it. Just not going to happen on the Triumph.

That is why I was looking at the lights I posted above. They have 16 LED each so it should provide some good light.

They make them for the later bikes. Just not this vintage.

Take a look at some of the Rizoma mirrors @ pjsparts.com . A lot of variety and great looking mirrors. Not cheap, but oh well.

I'd be pretty surprised if you could remove the rubber portion and get it back on. Gorgeous bits of work, though. There's always the Oxford "over-the-grip" heated grips!

For whatever it's worth, my favorite naked bike mirrors are the Dynamics and Radial Nakeds. Hoowee.

Well, I dove into the Speedy again yesterday. Seems the Speedo has a broken clock spring. Which explains why my odometer works and the speedo did not.

Put some "Speedometer clock spring glue" on it and will be headed out in a minute to see if it works.

While I was in there I decided to try something different with the Rizoma gauge cluster. The full bright polished unit just did not fit the bike very well. Not to mention it was kinda dinged up.

Here are a couple of pics of what it originally looked like.

I went for a brushed machined look and painted a few of the parts black to tone down the bling.

Here is what it looks like now.

I still have lots of work to do to make it a finished product. But here is how it sits right now. Obviously there are things on it that need to change still (bars, levers, mirrors, etc)

They are out there, I have one on my 2000, if I'm not mistaken you have the same tail.

Unless yours doesn't have the annoying screw clips. That one might work.

I searched everywhere when I was looking and never found one. I looked on ebay too. I suppose I could wire up my current LED tail to work as turn signals too......hmmmm

Maybe.

Mine has the intergrator in it, but I have never used it as have other signals on there. It has the extra leads for the signals attached. Could always try to work something from the passenger pegs.

Less goofing around with resisters and a circuit boards.
