With a little help from Scott at Rockstomper I cured my swingarm bearing issue and finally got the speed triple off of the engine hoist tonight.

Still need to do a lot to it, but it was nice to see it on the wheels.

Forgive the mess, there has been an engine hoist in the way for months. It is cleaner now.

Nicely done!

Here's a tip for you, though. Go buy some spray vinyl dye. It comes in a can that looks JUST like spray paint. It works wonders on those seats.

I did the seats on my daytona (exact same seats you have there), and they look a million times nicer. All dark black and glossy.

Never had any problems with it coming off or anything. Worked incredibly well and was easy to do.

oh yeah- which exhaust is going on there? Better at least be a high mount or I call foul. An underseat would be the shizzle... I have a Wolf. AWESOME. I think Grashopr (posted earlier) has a Black Widow on his 'tona.... been a while since I saw it, though.

I am actually thinking of having the seats done in tan leather.

Ok, that would be cool, too.

You might just want to buy a corbin and see what colors they can do it in. It's a HELL of a lot better than the stock seat, and is probably not much more than having yours done in leather.

No idea if they can do tan, but they have about a gazillion options on their site....

Thanks guys. Can't wait to have it on the road.

I have looked into the Corbin seats and think they can actually do whatever combo I want. Just not sure about the rear yet.

Waiting on a bunch of misc parts to arrive to put the rest toghther.

Need to find a coil plug but am having zero luck.

Had time to work on it today.........but it was 66 degrees and sunny here in Colorado so I decided to put off working on the Speedy until another day and took the R1 for a very nice long ride. ;)

I did at least roll it outside and take a camera phone pic. Wish I could have got the sun on the paint, it is sooooo sexy in the sun.

Yeah. The center coil and plug were broken when I got the bike. So I just have bare wires running to the coil right now. Where do you find the plugs?

I find them in my basement. However, I know that ArgoCycles has a couple sets for sale. Let me know if you can't find them at Argo.

I have several plug coils, also... I think I have a bag with about a dozen of them in there that I am not using.

You can usually get them on ebay for about 20 bucks a piece, though.
