Awesome, dude!!

I'm doing a similar process with mine... the frame and swingarm are sitting around waiting to get painted....

I'm doing candy blue over metallic silver on the frame and wheels, black metallic on the swingarm and subframe, and then white pearl bodywork with blue graphics.

Also, I have a set of 2004 GSXR1000 forks on there.

TOTALLY a worthwhile upgrade. It makes the bike look MUCH more modern and really improves both handling and braking.

I can even hook you up on the parts for the conversion.... I think I did mine for around 320 bucks or so.

What they usually do is put a bolt in that thread hole. Were a fab center and machine shop so finding a bolt that fit's isn;t much of a problem. That's what we do at work. But then again it isn't nearly as critical as engine parts =)

That colour combo is sick. Love the gold. Gold and black is so british, brings it back to the Lotus F1 days with the JPS cars.

Anyone see the cover of the September "Sport Rider"? They have a naked 07 R1 that looks like a Speed Triple.

Found it kida funny since I have an 07 R1 and a Speed Triple. Looks like my bikes had offspring.

Picked up the body work from paint today. Matt's guysat M&M in Aurora, CO did a awesome job. Paint is actually a 2008 Porsche Color.

There is no way my camera is going to do this paint any justice. But here it is anyway.

(Still waiting on a bearing to be able to assemble the swingarm and the rest of the bike).

Hmmmm...... If the frame had been left black it would have been insanely awesome. As is, well done.

If the frame had been left black it would have looked STOCK.

Speed triple come with black frames. All the effort to build a nice bike would have been lost on a frame that looked untouched.

Quick Google search turns up all sorts of green with black frames, here is an example. I think the gold looks MUCH better.
