Shorty or Fully?? PICS!
Hey All,
When I bought my bike back in 2006 the previous owner had put on a full Akrapovic exhaust system that he got cheap on Ebay since it had been on a bike that wrecked. As you will see in the pics, the holes got welded up and I can tell you that it works fine.
BUT, from an aesthetic (sp?) standpoint, what does everyone think? Should I leave it alone, or make a shortie can? If I cut out the dented/welded section would I be losing much performance? How will it sound? I never heard a shortie muffler so any input will help.

i had a m4 on my gsxr when i bought it and i got a shorty off a member on stuntlife. i dont know what kind it was but holy shit it was loud. i dug it the entire time i had it on but now that i got my cbr and it has a yoshi pipe on it i love it too. it really is a matter of personal prefrence i guess. check out youtube for clips of shorty's

personally i LOVE the shorty pipes! my buddy cut his pipe on his cbr and all i can say is wow! be ready for some seriously loud growls cumin outa that thng! i literally cant here anything except his pipe wen we r riding or even sitting!

thanks for the input guys, I appreciate it,
So I email akrapovic and asked if I could purchase the inlet flange (top left pic with the weld bead showing) so itll all have a nice clean look when I am done...they tell me that is the ONLY part that they do not sell individually- thats ridiculous!
