Default question about sprockets

alright ive been riding for years, but on any of my bikes i have never changed the teeth on sprockets. i have a zx9r full exhaust, jet kit, k&n filters, along with others. but its time to change the chain sprockets, and i figured why not try something new. heres my question i just ordered one down in the front and 2 up in the rear, besides making it better on the low side, what other things am i going to find, and how noticeable will the change be. this may seem like a dumb question, but like i said i always stuck with stock sprockets

it will be very noticable. its one of the best mods you can do. the front end will come up alot easier and acceleration is greatly improved. top end will be affected also but its not really noticable unless you hit 180 on a daily basis.
just becareful getting on it in the turns untill you get used to it you dont want to break the tire looses mid turn.

xander the usuall is -1 front +2 rear. i think like for every 3+ in the back its = to 1- in the front.you could try what its like with just the +3 then if you want more you could drop one in the front

Did you get a new chain as well?
You might consider running the +3 rear for awhile and see how you like it.
When I went -1 up front it took about 10 mph off the top speed of every gear.

This year I'll be -1 and +1.

I'm at work now. when I get home I have a Gearing website bookmarked.
The site lets you enter your bike and sprockets. Show speed in each gear in mph or kph.

every tooth u drop on the front is like addin 3 to the back, most people do the -1 +2 for the street and -1 +3 and ive even seen +5 at the drag strip, u will loose alittle off your top end but will pull harder down in your lower gears
