im looking for a quick release keyless gas cap where the cap is still attached to the base by a pivoting bracket of some sort so i dont have to hold the cap or put it on my seat etc.i want to be able to stay on the bike with it running and fill up with one hand.
does this go along with your camera that you mounted on the back of your bike and the switch that turns the lights off and all these other nick nacks that are ridiculous?
Besides static there is also the chance that you spill gas on a hot engine and catch your ass on fire. And you're correct Choco your engine is supposed to be off when filling.

Yeah, that and the static electric. And the other thing is that if something does catch on fire and you're sitting on the bike without the kickstand down, when you hop off the bike to stop drop and roll, the bike's gonna be on it's side, spilling gas since the tank won't be capped, and ignite causing an even bigger fire and possibly a major explosion.
But to answer the keyless gas cap question, I've got a Harris on my track bike...'98 Kawi ZX6R. It's not threaded. You gotta push the middle part down down and quarter turn the lever to pull the cap out. It's really nice. Just like this only silver....
