I've gone throuh 3 sets of Pirelli super sports in the past 2-3 years & they have been great in handling imo in all types of weather now im running Bridgestone bt-002 street race tires alittle stickier but will probably go back to the Pirellis they wear alittle longer. Whatever your choice is have fun out there

If your hittin the twisties only once a month get sport touring tires. You'll get much more milage out of them and they still provide great grip when/if you need it. I can vouch for the Pirelli Stradas.

I think that slimjim is pointing you in the right direction. Your issue is going to be finding something in a 200/50-17. Dunlop has the D220 and Bridgestone has the BT-020 in that size. If you were going back down to a 190/50-17 then you could get something in every brand, including Pirelli's with the Diable Strada extended mileage.
