Default Sprocket conversion question.....

I currently ride an '02 F4i, (2 yrs). I love this bike!! I have been contemplating a 520 power up mod from Driven Racing that comes w/ the -1 / +2 sprockets & a speedo healer. I am kind of a cheap skate so to speak (FYI) On the other hand, I have been given the green light from my "BOSS" to look for another bike. I probably would look to a ZX-10R or a 1000RR, '06-'07 type. I know that this is a B-I-G up in performance, but at the risk of getting flamed for asking a dumba$$ question.... here goes: would the sprocket mod make me happy enough to justify keeping it & putting a few more performance mods into it like a PCIII to save $$ or should I just forget it & sell it to one of the 5 people that want it & just go for the big bike? Please give me your opinions.

Apples and Oranges. A sprocket mod on a 600 will be nothing like a liter bike.

So really, it's subjective. Go ride a few of those bikes you're interested and see if you really like the F4i more.

What he ^ said. If it's power your after, you won't be able to come close to a newer litre bike no matter what mods you make. I guess if you're looking for useable power, or a balance between power/agility/comfort, try to find someone to let you ride their 1000cc for a bit, and decide if it's really what you want. Maybe pick up a 600RR and use the money you save over the 1000RR and put it into mods on the new bike? Personally, I would try to look into riding a few different newer bikes before I put any more money into a bike I might not want to keep. If you try out a few other bikes and don't find one you want, then buy the mods for the F4i.
