Exclamation HID Lights for sportbike GSXR 750

Hello fellow riders, can someone tell me if installing an HID light kit will harm the bike in any way, electronically or other?

I didn't do a kit, but did a retro fit. I also have split headlights, one being high beam and the other being low. I can tell you that if I turn on my bike with the high beams on (with the low beams) I will burn out my fuse. The ballasts draw more power while they "charge up", but settle down to a lower amperage. In other words, I have to turn my lows on first for around 15 seconds, and then turn on my highbeams (if I need them).

a relay should help things out. Buddy of mine had the same problem 2_wheeled_slave had on his on his 2000 R6. He ran a relay and ran both off the high beam switch and never has a problem anymore.

I personally have a McCulloch HID kit on my 2000 cbr929 and dont have any problems. It is a single bulb setup just like factory. I just make sure to not have the key on too long before starting the bike. It does need to be charging to work properly, but no problems once the bike is running.
