Default Chrome Work Needed.

I am currently rebuilding my 06' GSXR-1000 and looking to chrome the main frame, tail frame, and wheels. Does anyone know how much it costs or a good plater thats out there?

Previous poster is a h8r. The thread starter is looking for info not your unwanted opinion/flaming.
Look around on eBay or look through Super Streetbike/2 wheel tuner. There are several companies on those mags that do it. You can find farmed wheels and sub-frames for exchange pretty easy.

isnt chroming heavy? i would look into getting it polished. if you get the frame chromed i think you would have to completely strip everything off teh frame. some one correct me if i'm wrong i never had anything chromed before. i had my wheels polished it cost me $300 but i stripped them and had the tires taken off teh rims for the guy who did it.

You have to polish everything before it is chromed. Chrome is so thin it takes the shape of the surface it covers and doesn't really add that much weight. Any weight it may add is just a BS "reason" chrome hates try to pull. For all I know powder coat and paint is way thicker and could weight more. For what it's worth, weight usually isn't a caring factor for normal street riding.

i called a guy today to checka price to get my frame chromed he said it would be at least $900 just letting you know the shits expensive. i'm going with paint wish i could polish but its a steel frame
