I have a question about the Zero gravity double bubble windshields. I am hoping that someone knows about these windshields and can tell me if they come up any higher than the stock windshields. All this pertains to a 98 yzf 600.
If by 'higher' you mean taller I don't think so. I bought a Zero G double bubble and it has more surface area than the stock windscreen, but it is debatible as to whether it offers any more wind protection. It is much thinner than the stock windscreen; at least on my bike (2007 ZZR600). Here is a pic of mine. Note that the bottom of the screen is not blacked out when you buy it - I masked it off and painted it with spray paint on the backside to hide the wires from the gauge cluster. If you want more protection you likely want a screen that curves on the upper lip of the screen or a sport touring screen.
Here is a picture of the sport touring one. Not sure how much more wind it would deflectand how it would look on a bike. They dont show the whole bike in the picture, just the windshield area.
I have the Zero Gravity Double Bubble in dark smoke on both of my 600RR's. The screen is a little higher, but it looks great. Here is a shot before and after I put the Zero Grav on the red RR.

definitely looks higher to me. Looks good by the way
I had one on my gixxer thou. I liked it for highway cruising as it did offer a lot more wind deflection - didnt have to go into a full tuck to keep my head from getting blown around at 120mph plus. You can find them for about $12 cheaper on www.indysuperbikes.com than you will at kneedraggers.
I too went from the stock wind screen to a DB. It serves two functions for me. First of all, it looks much better than the stock one, (especially in smoke). Secondly, I can now see all of my tachometer & turn signals. As I am 6'1", before I changed it, I had to lean down to see the tach above 6k. After the DB install, it draws you right into them & I can see everything just fine.
