Default Airbrushing helmets

I wanted to know if this effects the helmet in anyway. I have an awesome idea for a design on a helmet, but I don't want to harm the helmet and it won't do it's job if I fall.

Why would painting a helmet affect it? just curious....unless it was heated to an extreme to cause stress on the materials i dotn see any possible issues..

It's always possible that the paint could contain certain solvents or chemicals that could erode or otherwise compromise the integrity of the surface of the helmet.

That being said, I'd doubt it. You're more likely to damage it by dropping it.

It is possible...........but unlikely.

A helmet will degrade naturally due to oxygen and UV penetration anyways.

The shelf life of most helmets is about 5 years...........after that youre on your own.

I airbrush and paint all my helmets..........but I dont expect them to last more than say a year or so...........

yea its possible but the assumption here is that the jack arse isnt going to use a solvent that will eat the helmet....prolly an assumption that shouldnt be made around many people....

What do you want done? If its anything out of my league I promise to tell you and direct you in the right direction.

I have a woman that does all the stuff I cant do..........she is my mentor for the airbrush so to speak and is really reasonable on super realistic art.

So if I cant do it, she can.
