Sportbike: i wish i had one but for now ill stick with my boyfriends just riding
Good gift to give a rider for his bike?
ok my boyfriend turns 18 in june. i want to get him sumthin for his bike but im not really "bike savvy" so im sorta clueless. he has a suzuki Gsxr 600 2005 model. im pretty sure thats right. but i need yall's help. what would be a good gift to get him? hes had the bike since about june so nothing extravagant thats over his head. i dont kno what my budget will look like around that time but i just need ideas! thanks much!
btw he loves doing stunts and stuff like that. wheelies, stoppies, burnouts,speeding all that junk that freaks out his girlfriend(me!) any ideas for stuff that might help his bike stay in one peice if sumthin was to happen would also help! hes laid it down once b4 and it scraped up his fairring pretty bad so now he ordered a new one. the only thing i kno of that can keep your fairrings nice if u fall are frame sliders. but yet again im bikeless so im clueless. help me learn here!!!

And a stand. This auction is for both front & rear. You don't have to get both, but it sure would be nice. I doubt he does much work on his own, so maybe just a rear stand. Then explain to him that it will make lubing & adjusting the chain a lot easier... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/No-Re...74824544QQrdZ1
You should be able to pick both up at a local dealership. Just go to the parts department & ask for a stand & spools.
If he's truly into stunts you could get him something along those lines, crash cage, 12 o'clock bar, hand operated rear brake, big rear sprocket/chain. Ask on the stuntlife.com forums. That stuff is for dedicated stunnas though, not just guys who do it here and there to look cool.

get him insurance. If he has that, then get this stuff, in order.
1. Good helmet.
2. Good gear.
3. MSF.
4. Track day--might be expensive, but worth it.
5. Educate yourself about bikes, parts, e-bay, and auctions--he;s gonna rack up the bike at some point, and he does WAY too many things on the bike for us to try to help you mod it {eg; he stunts, and races---you cant do those on the same bike} so we cant say if a better can, or a 12'clock bar would be best.
6. Get a bike yourself. Then we'll love you a little more ;)
{seriously though--get a bike}

18? Laid down the bike? Stunts? Sounds reckless. How about getting a bike of your own so YOU won't get hurt. A woman that rides on her own is a better than one on the back of a bike. THAT would be a "present" you both could appreciate!

Well thank you Mr. Resident Asshole - it was a joke. If you'd read down another post before responding, you would've seen I offered serious advice. With that being said, take another read through her post and see what advice comes to mind.
