Bar end mirrors?
Howdy, folks;
Does anybody use/recommend bar end mirrors? If so, why and which brand? Where's a good place to get them? Appreciate the info!
Thanks!

CRG's seem to be the mirrors of choice.

I've had bar end mirrors on some of my bikes. They're fine. Better than what I have now... elbow mirrors.
They suck insofar as how much wider they make your bike. You wouldn't imagine this matters, but it becomes an issue frequently.

I won't be doing any lane-splitting, so I imagine that's when it would be an issue? I could be wrong if there are other concerns..

I just ordered some bar end mirrors for my SV off ebay.
Search for bar end mirror and see what you come up with

Yea, it becomes an issue in more situations than that. But that shouldn't keep you from trying them. Keep in mind that the CRGs are small and convex mirrors. Napoleans are larger and are regular. Pick what you like.

Yeah...I looked on ebay. There's a bunch there. I'll measure my bars and maybe order some tomorrow. I wonder if some of the local bike shops might carry these bar end mirrors?

I got longer arms for my SV's mirrors, saved me the price of a different set of mirrors. I was looking seriously at getting a set of bar end mirrors.

I tried looking for longer mirrors, but because I ride a clone (I like to think of it as a "custom"), I can't seem to find any. I tried all the local bike shops and dealers when I cracked a mirror. Thought I would just get a set of longer ones. No good on that. And I'm just tired of looking at my elbows, I guess...

Bought a pair of Third eye or Cat eye (or whatever) bar end mirrors from a local bicycle shop. Made a hell of a difference. I can see, I can see! Thanks, all!

They work great! I'm gonna get rid of my stock, useless mirrors and plug the holes. The bar ends work just like a rear-view mirror in a car plus the door mirrors. Gives you a LOT of visibility to the rear and sides.

And you haven't had any reliability problems with the Cat Eye's?
