Default Carrozzeria Wheels for my ZRX

Hey Guys,
I'm thinking about buying a set of Carrozzeria Wheels for KAW ZRX.
Does anyone own a set? How do you like them?
They came out with a cool Star design Eddie Lawson Retro set.

Let me know,
Thanks

Wow! Those are nice wheels! What color are you thinking about going with?
I think the originals were kind of gold with a polished lip.

those rims had problems from the factory...before mounting them you have to check them with a runout gauge, and something else (i'll find the info later for yous).

if you get a set of the affected rims, they will replace them and pay for shipping. just wanted to get this out there so no one gets hurt. when the bad rims fail, they fail catastrophically.....

haven't had any luck. probly means the forging process got fixed.....slightly foggy but i think it was isolated to a few lots.

a GB for the V6's yielded 3/5 bad sets, but that was Aug. or Sept. '06...

do it up!

motomummy.com has something on their forums about it.

http://www.motomummy.com/Forum/showthread.php?t=21764

Information is finally starting to make the rounds....

I told everyone of my problems with them back in July. I only kept them for two months, then got rid of them. Now, some new information is being spread. Main problem is the spacers. The wheels are good wheels, but there seems to be no quality control on the spacers.

Here's some of the problems with spacers:

- Incorrect inside diameters (axle won't fit thru)
- Cut to incorrect lengths (brake discs rub pads in calipers)
- Spacer ends cut with an ANGLE, so they don't sit flush against the wheel bearings
- Spacers made with highly inferior material. According to Carrozzeria, the axles are to be torqued to HALF of factory specs. The undisclosed reason why is because torquing to factory spec will smash the spacers, in some cases up to a mm or more.

There's a reason these wheels are selling so cheap. The word is spreading like wildfire right now. I hate to see anyone get injured or hurt by inferior equipment.

Here's a link a gixxer.com discussing some of the issues...
