Information is finally starting to make the rounds....
I told everyone of my problems with them back in July. I only kept them for two months, then got rid of them. Now, some new information is being spread. Main problem is the spacers. The wheels are good wheels, but there seems to be no quality control on the spacers.
Here's some of the problems with spacers:
- Incorrect inside diameters (axle won't fit thru)
- Cut to incorrect lengths (brake discs rub pads in calipers)
- Spacer ends cut with an ANGLE, so they don't sit flush against the wheel bearings
- Spacers made with highly inferior material. According to Carrozzeria, the axles are to be torqued to HALF of factory specs. The undisclosed reason why is because torquing to factory spec will smash the spacers, in some cases up to a mm or more.
There's a reason these wheels are selling so cheap. The word is spreading like wildfire right now. I hate to see anyone get injured or hurt by inferior equipment.
Here's a link a gixxer.com discussing some of the issues...
