Default Swingarm License plate mount?

I just had my bike painted and I dont want to re-mount the plate under the tail. Any suggestions on where to get a swing arm mount for my plate? Or even better does any one have an idea on how to build one myself? I appreciate all the help guys!

I despise those things..............but hey if you gotta do it you gotta do it.

you could always just use some rivnuts in the swing arm to make mounting locations an make a bracket.

Why you want to do it is besides me but hey its your bike.

Talking

I only want to do it so I dont have to drill into my tail. We spent a lot of time patching and covering the existing ones lol. And the paint on the undertail came out dope. Anyways, why the hatred for the Swingarm mount?

No where near hating them. I happen to think that is more of a cruiser/chopper kind of style, that's all.

But you know it's your bike and you should get what you want Don't know if it matters, but you may want to check your state laws regarding placement and lighting.

I checked out ebay, and they want over 100 bucks for most of them. there has to be a cheaper way to do it.

I have the 03..............and yeah I just dont like them. For the most part they are illegal, the plates are usually too low to the ground.......and then rotated in axis.

I know you may like your undertail now but it doesnt fuck up paint to put tape on a mark and drill it carefully.........

Id make a cool mount for it..........where it should be.

Im just not a fan of them really.

The reason they want so much money is because it has to be machined out. The use the adjuster blocks as the beginning of the part.........

you can make your own its very easy. the best place to hang one is from the exhaust hanger bolt. Thats where i put mine. no one makes one for that spot and it only took about a 1/2 hour to make. so you will have the only one like it in your area.

take the stock license plate bracket, bend it, and use STRONG double-sided tap to secure it under the tail. Nice, secure, and a clean look. Make sure to allow clearance for suspension travel so your plate doesn't come in contact with the rear tire.
