Just a heads up... that code is a cross reference part number for Color-Rite only. You will not be able to purchase paint locally (PPG, Doupont, Etc) off of that code. Color-Rite intentionally cross-references their codes so that you are required to purchase from them. You can get the PPG or Doupont code by going to any distributor and having them flash a panel that has the color on it. Then you'd be able to purchase the paint at a discount from the Color-Rite retail price. Just a heads up.

Yes. If you know who your local PPG or Doupont supplier is, you can take them any panel that has a 6"x6" semi-flat area in the correct color and they can put a small machine on the panel and give you the exact code for your color. They prefer the area to still be clearcoated (dont sand the area first), and it'd be super nice if you cleaned it first to get any bugs/road tar/ickies off of it. But if your color has faded at all or if it was a bit 'off' from the factory (some years the paint mixtures were off from one bike to the next.. 1999 Triumph Daytonas in their 'Gold' color are notorious for this... you can't take a side panel from one bike and put it on another.. it wont match up) they will match what the color is now.. faded and all.
The price per pint is dependent upon what the 'code' of the color is after it's flashed. Solid, non-pearl, non-metallic colors are the cheapest. VERY few bikes have cheap-coded colors on them. Nearly all have pearl or metallic in them... or both. A C-code PPG pint may be $11.00, whereas a T-Code or Z-Code could be over $200 for a pint. You just need to go have it flashed and see what it's going to cost.

As a side note.. if anyone DOESN'T know who their PPG or Doupont supplier is, O'Reilly's has a deal with Doupont, and CarQuest has a deal with PPG to where they can sell the stuff. In a town where there are multiple O'Reilly's or CarQuests, usually the largest outlet has the paint supplies and the ability to flash colors, but you'll need to call and see which outlet distributes the paint and whether they can flash your panel. Just call any one of them in the phone book and see which outlet sells paint, then call them and see whether they can colormatch without a make/model/year. Explain that it's a metric motorcycle color, and if they can flash the color, they'll let you know.
The only downside to purchasing paint from O'Reilly's and CarQuest is that sometimes they 'pre-mix' the paint, so buying a pint of paint is a SPRAYABLE pint. If you buy a pint of paint from your local distributor, they typically give you a pint of color, which you mix 1:1 with reducer, to make a Quart of sprayable material. So, even though O'Reilly's may seem cheaper.... it's because you're getting 1/2 as much material.
