Grips are a pain in the ass unless you have an air compressor and hose. The grip is made smaller then the clipon so it will stay on no matter what happens. So yes it is a pain in the ass. What ever you do, DO NOT US LUBE TO PUT THEM ON!

I changed my grips, it was easy. If you do not want to keep the old ones just cut them off. Then I used crazy glue and worked the grip on before it dried. It was really no problem. Just make sure you get the right sides first, cause one will be larger then the other ( the throttle grip will be wider inside)
maybe I got lucky with them.... but it was easy.

Cut the other ones off with a razor blade. Buy some rubber/gel grips that fit your application. Unscrew the bar end. Spray the inside of the new ones with hair spray and slide them on before it dries. Forget those chrome grips, not comfortable, poserific, and your hands will be covering them anyhow.

Hairspray works great unless you ride in wet weather , then they will come loose , i just pay the buck or two for scotts grip glue . BTW those grips are gay , i dont think a poser would even put them on there bike

My dealer installs grips on a 2005 GSXR for $15. Might be worth the duckets. I think it's rediculious that we have to resort
to chrome grips so we don't have the same grip as 200 other guys in town. Here are the ones I just ordered.

not to be an ass or anything but chromed grips don't seem like they would work all that efficiently....they might look good but im doubting the ability they have for proper throttle response.....i would think gloves would tend to slip on them.....
