Keep the brake fluid off of painted surfaces, including wheels. Have plenty of clean rags available. Use new brake fluid from a sealed container. Mock up the brake lines before you install them to make sure the eyelets sit flush against the calipers and master cylinders. Sometimes the eyelets are turned a little bit and while want to twist when you bolt the lines up. On goodridge lines at least you can rotate the eyelet in the end of the line until it fits flush against the mounting holes. Make sure if you have an adjustable brake level you set it to furthest most position away from the bar. That way it gets a good pump up when you go to bleed them.. Bring a friend to help..

Install speed bleeders when you change the lines, you won't regret it.
