Default Tire question

One question I have is what full race tire do you guys reccomend? I ride an Aprilia RS250, thinking about Michelins or Bridgestone (found a good deal on a set of Bridgestones), anyone else have any reccomendations.

Actually my main question is, in a proper box, can tires be shipped through USPS? I'm US Military in Italy and I have an APO address. If I use my street address I have to pay a 20% Italian importation fee, as well as some other fee. So it will all add up to just too much money. I would buy local but with the Euro/Dollar rate being so bad right now, it's expensive too. So with the dimensions of the tires could they be shipped USPS in seperate boxes? Every tire site I have checked so far says "we only ship tires UPS"

Thanks,
Jason
