Default buying a bike in Germany???

I'm in the states right now, but got stationed in Ramstein. I'll be moving there around july for around 3 years. I'm curious if i should buy a bike here and have it shipped with me, or if i should wait until i get there.

How are prices on bikes In germany? are the same models and variety available there like it is in america?? I'm looking to get the new Gsxr 1k. do they have them??

ANY info at all about the weather, roads, attitudes in germany pertaining to bike would be extemely appreciated. thanks!!

Hello from germany,

Yes the GSX-R 1000 is available in Germany. The normal Price is around 12000 Euro. But the dealers in Germany are very good in Pricing. Probably you can by a tested, it means it was tested by other buyers, so they can see if they llike it. These bikes are the cheaper and the kilmoeters are not so much. I bought my Fazer so, with 1k Kilometers on i and 2000 Euro under Official price.

For sure you can look around on this sites.

Excuse my englisch

I forgot, The roads, were often Bikes roll on, are normaly in pretty good shape. The scenery is at some places wonderful, but I don´t think it´s like the US. The Bikers in Germany are normaly very very friendly, so you come very fast in contact with someone. And then there´s something wonderful on some of the Highways, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NO SPEED LIMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
