Default I hate bees. Anyone else hate bees? My work is infested with em! ARGHH!

This sucks. The past couple weeks i've spotted a couple bees here and there at my work. I sell phones for a verizon wireless dealer. So it gets pretty dead, at times it's just me, by myself with no customers for a couple hours at a time. I dont like the fact being alone with all these damn bees!

Usually, you spot one or to. No big deal, swat em and thats that. Well, today i walk in, and the girl i work with says im on bee duty. WTF? I look around and counted about 50 of em. Most dead, but a few flying around. There are dead bees every where on the ground. In the backroom, we got them neon lights, when you look into them you can see a whole bunch of dead bees and a few flying around in there. Theres gotta be a nest. It needs to be found and destroyed!

I think they are honey bees not yellow jackets though. I figure yellow jackets are pretty aggresive. You kill one, and the rest go on the ofensive and start buzzin around and stining people. These bees are just chillin, flying around. Not really botherin anyone.....yet.

Had to rant, got about 5 hours left of work and im stuck by myself with em....meh. Damn bees

I hate 'em too. If I have one phobia, it's bees (and wasps, hornets, etc). If I worked where you did, I would be tempted to buy a case of Raid and just hose the whole place down.

yea i'm not a big fan of bees myself.. one thing i've found is that if they are near you... just sit still and they will generally fly away, its all the waving your hands and running away and shit which pisses them off. If they land on you.. again.. sit still they will fly away.

Bee's sense fear. Just like a dog. If your skerd (scared) of em they will come after ya.

I hate bees. I'm alergic to em from a childhood attack where I disturbed a nest bout the size of a basketball accidentally and got stung about 200 times! Almost died.
Was 8 years old havin fun in a small stream playin and splashin around with my little electric speed boat. It went under a bush and I moved the bush where the nest was getting my boat and got attacked..... lost my lol boat waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

i remeber one time i was at a red light on my bike, and one came flyin around me. I almost dumped my bike cause of the lil bastard.

Are these honey bees? I heard that they were almost extinct because of some deadly mite. Anyway, I work at a nuclear power plant and have resorted to carrying around a can of wasp spray. I have opened outdoor control panels and gotten swarmed.

the abandonded building beside our building at work is INFESTED with a honeybee hive....they swarm the soffit on the wall and fly in and out of these 2 holes...there has to be at least 15k bees in there as many crawl around on the outside of the nest.....i have mentioned it to the owners and they said it was no big deal, that is until i told them they were where customers could get stung by them and then we could get sued....they called to get them terminated

Everyone of you a re a bunch of pussies. You act like bees are sabre toothed tigers. As a kid I cut into a dead tree with an axe which bourght down the wrath of a nest of hornets and I was stung hundreds of times. Bees were floating all around me when they threw me into a bath with ice and water. Last week I encountered a yellowjacket nest in my yard and got stung a few times. It's not the end of the world to be stung. Now horseflies,, those are some obnoxious bugs. They don't sting, they bite and they are actually eating your skin the bastards.

Thumbs down

Pussy? Hmmm. Dunno about that... guess it depends on the severity of reaction to the attack. Since I was stung mainly on the face and throat my reaction was somewhat *severe* within 5 minutes my eyes had swollen shut, my my face and throat were so swollen that windpipe was collapsed. I could not breathe.....

It was lucky a park ranger saw me (we were camping at Interlocken Park in Northern Michigan... summer of 1962.....) I was face down in the stream unconsious.
Rushed to the nearest hospital 50 or 60 miles away on a primitave life support system (think back to 1964 and the tech they had then....) placed in intensive care and didnt regain conciousness for 2 days. When I did the doctors were suprised I made it. They told me if I get stung by a bee again it more than likely will be fatal.
Thankfully I've proved them wrong, been stung several times and everytime it's pretty major but with each time it's less drastic then the last.

Can't imagaine why someone would be calling names???? Pretty lame huh?

I've never been stung, so I might be allergic and not know it, dunno. Sorta off topic, northern Italy has a few bees here and there, but we have a bigger problem with flies, seems like they are everywhere here, leave a door open for a half hour and you've got at least 4 or 5 flies in your house, and I dunno what it is, but they seem more agressive here.

We're infested with love bugs right now. Sometimes I hit so many of them that I can barely see out of my visor by the time I get home. They stink, too, and their guts eat through paint. Nasty buggers.

you guys have them there in TX too?? jeez man they are awful and like he said the ONLY thing that they eat is the paint. they were originally brought to the states to eat mosquitoes but they made a mistake and brought the wrong species. oh yea and they taste so vile and disgusting that NOTHING besides a near sighted spider will even so much taste them. i HATE those things....never fails though in Fl in winter the weather sucks too much to ride, in summer its either too hot or too rainy and then as it progresses past the rainy part you get love bugs....go figure
