I don't think that they should let that happen, and I don't think they will. I guess we'll have to see what happens when the game is finally released. Either way, Final Fantasy coming to 360 is still a huge blow to Sony, since people won't have to buy the PS3 to play it, even if the 360 version is slightly downgraded. You just said earlier,"slight graphical differences don't matter."

As long as its not a game I will be playing, and/or as long as it was originally scheduled for both consoles, I can understand developers just not having the time to squeeze the extra power from the PS3. But if its intentionally dumbing down the PS3 version of a once exclusive title, that makes me angry, and I don't even play Final Fantasy. Makes me want to see the demise of Microsoft for holding back something that could be better. I just hate the thought of stifling progress; things should be constantly improving.

You are saying that price is an issue... so the PS3 is a better value.
Free online.
Wireless is built in.
Bluray player for your high def.
Whether one is more powerful than another is not what I am talking about since both have nice looking games.
Most games are cross-platform.
Get a PS3 slim and you'll be happy.

It comes down to the online play... Where Xbox charges for their Online, i.e. WE pay for the bandwith. PS3 is free and the game companies/developers/etc. have to pay for their bandwith. Thats why there is a difference in many of the cross platform games....

I know I am late on this but I have to get in on this arguement.
The PS3's processor is way more powerful then the 360. look it up. Sony is using a 256 video chipset and the 360 went with 512. However the cell engine makes up for the difference. The graphical difference between the two is in how they shade. The PS3 has twice the shading capabilities then the 360. That is why some games look different. I own both systems and I am very happy with both. I am not a fanboy of either. But the PS# has better hardware for sure. The one game that is going to show the PS3's capabilities as far as online play is concerned is MAG (Massive action game). It is developed by the same guys who made the original Socom. (Zipper Interactive) It is online only and boast 256 player battles. Go to G4 tv and do a search for it. It looks really good. Both consoles are good and I play on them both but for all around entertainment you do get more out of the PS3.

I've seen MAG. It's 2 teams of 128 players. Then the highest ranking player is in charge. You have squads of 10 to do a mission, if they fail, ALL 10 fail and are out.

Well from a standpoint of someone who owns both, I'd say go with the PS3. Online is free, there's plenty of players online, and I've found it to be a more stable system. I've had a few issues with the XBOX, but not everyone does. It's all preference really.

Well i've got ps3 and i love it. If you have better than 56k internet then your online connectivity and update DOWNLOAD speed will not be as bad as everyone thinks (sure the install takes a little while depending on the magnitude of the update).
Yes, the consistency of ps3's online play is not as good as xbox's, however you do have to pay for it with xbox. SO, no everyone, there prices are NOT equal. Add on $20 for every 3 months (and your 1 month free..big whoop) or $50 for the year, correct me if im wrong, to play your xbox online while you wait for the red ring. Lets face it, if your a consistent gamer playing multiple hours a day or so, its going to red ring. In 2 years of ownership with both products you have already spent $100+ for xbox online availability and then keep adding on top of that if you so choose to purchase accessories such as wireless, a new headset (because the stock headsets suck and randomly stop working more times than not), etc. Also when your xbox does red ring, your without a console until you get it back or they send out a new one.
And for my biggest pet peeve concerning xbox, all you fags out there who "mod" their controllers in order to be dominate in call of duty. First of all if you do it and your reading this, f*** you, seriously. If you cant play the game the way it was meant to be played then don't play it or accept that you suck.
For the ps3 haters, yes im fully aware of the losers who are downloading hacks/glitches via usb to play call of duty and that pisses me off just as much, however since it is all over the internet im sure sony/infinity ward is aware of it and will work towards stopping it. No body can stop someone from disassembling their xbox controller for the mod. I havent been online on ps3 for quite some time so they may have resolved the issue by now, who knows.
I also have experience with both Forza and Grand Turismo. Grand Tursimo, i believe, sets the bar with game play racing physics. Forza and Grand Turismo both have there great perks (Forza with the unlimited ability to tune your car, Grand Turismo on the other hand has all the physics for there cars very close to reality, also the tracks in grand turismo are very real, exist, and are pretty much replica's of the real life track)
Halo is gay
Don't bitch about which controller you like better, with time your just as good with one than the other and when you have both at availability your good at both.
This concludes my opinion.

Hell I prefer PS's controllers so much that I wish someone made an aftermarket one to work with XBOX...

Hmm, I didn't realize how many PS3 owners were on this forum. Surely someone else likes the 360. I absolutely love my 360 and Halo. Best thing about the 360 is the controller. It is absolutely perfect for shooters. I have played shooters on a PS controller, and my thumbs keep hitting each other.

We should post up our screen names for both 360 or PS3 and get some game time in. Anybody play Moto GP 08 or COD WAW on the 360 or Rainbow6 vegas2 on PS3?
