"There are more deer now in North America than there have ever been," said Todd Malmsbury of the Colorado Division of Wildlife. "And we're right in their habitat, we're living there, we're driving there."

I honestly had no idea that it was such a problem. I mean, I've heard of it happening, but it seems that population control of some kind needs to be implemented at this point.

Yea start hunting, we need to shut down the green movement and the "hug everything" bs.
Most people do not realize its such a problem, like most things until its to late.
I heard MSF instructor and I believe one of the founders state "there is really nothing you can do about a deer, that is the one thing I fear" he died hitting one on his bike.

I disagree though, there are some things you can do, but its not all that easy and yes, they effect us all, and Im not sure if that article pointed it out, but many are in city limits as I stated, huge problem with them here in our state capital but the enviro freaks keep stopping culling methods.

I like deer, I like all animals actually but everything has to be put in check.

Deer are freakin everywhere around here. I know a guy that has hit 11 deer in the past 10 years.

There's a township in pennsylvania called solbury. Hunting is illegal, but to solve the deer problem they hired an ex-military sniper equipped with night vision goggles and other stuff to snipe the f*ckers out over a couple weeks... I shit you not

So why dont you start hunting?

if people started taking action instead of waiting for the government to do so for them we would not have this problem.

hiring people to cull is becoming very popular and is very expensive.

Ok, it was alone in her flower bed. So that means most likely it was abandoned by it's mother. Or it lost it's mother somehow. So no matter what it most likely will die, plus it's not like they are endangered, god. Bet if it was a baby racoon, skunk or something along the lines of that no one would of cared.

Like someone said in the first couple posts, sam she throw it away. Deer meat is good.

Deer are the deadliest animal in the United States. More people die from deer than any other animal. The only reason this made the news is because people are attached to cute animals, aka deer. The same thing with endangered animals. The most likely animals to survive from becoming extinct are the cute ones, because people are attached to them. Sad, but true.
