I haven't had the funds to put a true BOB together, for a real situation not a "zombie attack."

I have ready:
camelbak
Leatherman multi-tool
lbs of hard red winter wheat (awesome survival food if you have water)
flashlight
duct tape
plenty of military clothing (summer and winter) that I won't list because it isn't necessary

I will have eventually:

Taurus .45
Glock 19/ S.A. XD9
9mm carbine of some type (interchangeable ammo=good)
Several other tools

I feel as though you don't take zombies seriously. Maybe you should watch the true life documentary called 28 days later. You might change your opinion. Its not that I really care if you all die from the zombies, because most of you I could care less about, but for everyone who isnt prepared, that is one more zombie us smart, prepared people have to kill.

Just got a Taurus p92, found out I'm pretty damn good with a gun. 20 feet target results at the end of the day.

Well, due to the high amount of forestation and the wonderful area of undeveloped land around here, i think I could get on pretty well, until the apocalypse is over. if that first plan doesn't work....

There is an army surplus store not 3 minutes from me. Head over there, grab what I can stuff into my dad's 81 Dodge (which is alot. that thing has a massive trunk area/cabin area.) Plus whatever could fit into the 3 ton truck that we can hotwire down the road, and head to my inlaws place around an hour form me. 7 acres, tree'd in.fully sustainable, no neighbours for a mile in any direction.

From there, map out basic assault points, and set up a funnel system. using ill gotten surplus goods, plus the small tractor/digger at the inlaws place, dig hasty trenches to funnel zombies into sequential blast points. detonating shrapnel bombs with all kinds of goodies in them (from marbles to 6 inch spikes) exploded with shrapnel facing downward form about 9 feet to cause as much trauma to the head and face as possible. if it doesn't kill them, it will incapacitate their ability to see, smell, or most likely even function.

From there, if a large scale assault with more than a few hundred zombies occurs, things will get hasty indeed. I think a good plan would be to head out into the woods. These are thickly treed areas, with pines and other easily climbed forestation. head out with a silencer and some provisions to last until a series of shelters could be made. taking ammunition, water, dried food (mainly jerky and venison) and whatever else I could to these shelters, I'd get myself into a tree, and set up camp.I think it could go well, if I could do it all with a little help from my brother. he's no slouch himself, and is stronger than I.

Basically, shit would be improvised, since the guns of you guys, i don't have.

Or, hell, I could just head north. i don't think Zombies much like the cold, so hunkering down for winter would probably be the best, and easiest bet, instead of all this guerrilla warfare shit.

Your plan is extremely flawed young one. One of three things is going to happen at the Army surplus store.

1) The owner is going to have already take all of the weapons off the premises, and into his own personal shelter.
2) The owner is going to use the store AS his personal shelter, and will kill you for trying to take his stuff.
3) The place has already been ransacked by people because the owner has succumbed to the zombies, but you were in no shape to kill the zombies and take the stash because you didnt have any weapons to begin with.

Sorry about your luck. Maybe you can find someone near you that will take you under their wing.

*******

Does anyone else have problems with talking to people about the impending zombie invasion? I mean, I bring it up in casual conversation and people seem confused as to what I am talking about....
