There is no speed sensor. Those are only on the Japanese models and and those speed sensors are removed when the Satellite senses that the car is on a Nissan approved track. The NA models will have no such speed sensors maybe an engine block that's about it.
I thought they looked like hell since I first saw pictures of the show car. Also, I think the price they are asking is way out of line. I'd never pay that much for a Datsun.

What's wrong with Datsun exactly? Is it just personal preference?

No, but Nissan made its name by having value priced performance. Sure, they have gone up in price over the years, but this much money is nuts.
Calling it a Datsun is my way of reminding people that, when all is said and done, no matter what it does or how well it compares to a hand built European supercar, in the end it is still just a Nissan.

Not my style but that really is one heck of a car. Especially for the price. I know that Nissan is trying to stop dealers from marking up the vehicles but we'll see what happens.
I'd love to run into one of them with my GTO. I'd love to break their hearts!

911 Turbo is still a better car, and Porsche ENCOURAGES you to race their cars, not punish you. Ever go to a track day event with the PCA (Porsche Club of America)? WOW.

Ignorant. So you're telling me the GTR will punish the driver? Ugh exactly how? No I've never gone to a track day with the PCA and I simply don't want to. Why? Because I own a 350Z and most likely will own a GTR.
I'm pretty sure Nissan is encouraging people to race and track their cars. Hence the 7:29 track time on the Ring, and the Japanese speed limiter that is only removed a Nissan approved Track.
Why do people always have to always compare things that shouldn't be compared. Nissan has said from the beginning their goal was to compete against the Porsche 911, not the 911 Turbo and destroy the corvette. The numbers it has put up has prove they have done just that.
You are comparing a $75,000 MRSP car to a $136,000 MRSP car. What's the point? All I'm here to say is that this car is worth every penny and it can compete with any of the exotic cars out there for 1/3 of the price.
All I have to say is. Yes. The 911 Turbo is one of the best cars out there but I'd rather buy a GTR out of personal preference.
7:31 --- 164.38 km/h -- Porsche 997 GT2
Once again the GTR has put 7:29 on the same track.
Sounds to me like Nissan has proved everyone wrong.

Didn't anyone play with you as a child?
My post was in reply to the post prior about the speed sensors and Nissan history of not honoring warranty claims when the cars are raced, something Mitsubishi got hammered with when the EVO first hit the street. I never said the car will punish you, but Nissan's corporate chain. Relax and learn to read.

Sadly no one played with me.
You didn't quote anyone and what you said seemed pretty vague. Misunderstanding, my apologies.
