Old thread, but you should consider mounting it on the left side so you can at least press a button or two when you're on the road. My Mio c220 is mounted high on my left handlebar, this way I can go through the menus and still keep an eye on the road.

its not to bad of a thread drag up

for those interested i just mounted up a nuvi 350, i chose that one cause factory mounting bracket has the power adapter built in. which means all i have to do is clip the GPS into the bracket (has a button you have to press to release it so its sturdy) and its in place and powered, no wires to mess with. also it has an MP3 player you can use while wearing gloves plus an SD slot

I just bought a Garmin 350 today, and just asked RAM for some mounts to make up a kit! Even though there are no good rides near illinois, this thing will help!

Hey, this thread is timeless! Well, the ignition would be on the way if I mounted toward the left side. I can just reach and crossover with my left, but really I try not to futz with it while rolling, I'll stop if I need to fiddle with it. I'll be the first to admit that its for cleanliness and form first, function second.
