I have no idea because I haven't received it yet. The main housing unit for my GPS is so new they're still waiting for it to arrive before they ship the rest of the stuff out, but when I get it, I'll be sure to let ya know.

I still want to know how people got to where they were going before GPS systems were common. I'm in a sales job where I travel 80% of the day and without mine I'd be broke and jobless. I also wonder how salespeople made a living before cell phones and the internet. I am looking at putting a Nuvi on my bike, thanks for the suggestions guys. I have an old Garmin 330 in my car, but the thing is bulky and about 3 years old, yet it still works great for my purposes.
Well, because my father is a truck drive, I grew up knowing how to read a map right. I always carried a map in my car... even now. So people who have no sense of direction and can't read a map... they're just screwed

After extensive searching I've found a rubber grommet that will fit on the right fork tube. As close as I can measure by eyeballing a tape as I don't have any calipers, the fork tube is about 1" 7/8.
The price for the assorted four-pack is $3.50, however with the $9.95 shipping the total comes to $13.45. Oh well, I guess you need to pay to have things the way you want em.
Finally I've been trying to source 28mm washers to go around the steering head bolt to allow the metal plate to clear the triple clamp. So far I haven't found a good option other than throwing a few in from an OEM vendor if I happen to order any other stock parts. They go for $3.80 each, but again, its an odd sized part.
Had a local C&C shop drill the 52~ish mm hole for the fork tube grommet and made the bend to rise from the grommet groove to match up to the top of the steering head bolt from a 4" x 12" heavy gauge scrap aluminum.
Took a sawsall and lopped the corners off, then used a disc grinder to round them.
Chopped the handlebar mount bracket and bolted it on to the aluminum plate for the mount.
At the last second I got another idea to make the whole bracket quick-release so I can go back to a stock look. Instead of mounting the bracket under the steering head nut I thought I would use an expanding grommet secured in the steering head bolt. I got a bike seat quick-release skewer and ground down and drilled a rubber stopper and it works like a charm.
Of course safety wiring will be used as a backup contingency.
Last thing will be to have the bracket powder coated to get rid of reflective surfaces and to give it a factory look.
i had the suction cup back plate permanently glued on my windshield. yeah it looks horrible but works. cuz its on the windshield i dont need to look down as much. i have a spare stock windshield so its all good.
My Ram mount is currently back ordered coz one of the parts is out of stock. I just got the Tomtom Go 720 and absolutely love it. Great GPS, Bluetooth, MP3 player, FM transmitter, the list goes on. Refurbed for $240, free shipping from Buy.com.
