Default alternative to the nike+ ipod sensor shoes

i've been debating a few months now on getting an ipod with the running tracking sensor designed for nike shoes ... BUT i don't want to pay over $100 for a pair of nike garbage shoes.

i found this website that offers a cool idea for those of us don't want to contribute to nike nation when we don't have to ... velcro of all things! i think i'll do this option.

I've been stuffing my sensor in between the shoe tounge and laces. I still need to calibrate my sensor but it's a nice talking timer.
