Default Took some pictures of Air Force One

This was at Northwest Arkansas Regional (XNA) yesterday. The POTUS came through to spill some BS about the economy. I was more interested in the planes though, so I snuck off during lunch and took some pics.

Cool stuff. The last gig I worked with GW was in 2004 and he was on Marine 1 (or whatever they call it). In any case they flew in three identical choppers so it was impossible to know which one contained el presidente. Nobody was allowed anywhere close to the strip back then.

Feel confident knowing that if you were that close somebody most likely had your head in a scope at some point!

Never thought about being in somebody's scope. But I did see lots of guys hiding in the bushes. And a few on ATVs. No telling how many were out there that I didn't see.

I did talk to one Secret Service agent. He was serious, but friendly. I asked him if I could get any closer to take some pictures and he directed me to a spot on the side of the road that I could pull off. Which is where I got these pictures at. It was about 600-700 yards from the planes. Then another car stopped behind me to do the same thing but a Sheriff Deputy pulled up behind him and ran him off right after I left.

Pretty fun for a lunch break.

On my way to Dulles airport the other day I was driving by Andrews AFB and all of a sudden an E-4B "Doomsday Plane" flew several hundred feet over the road right in front of me. It was so awesome I was yelling in my car but nobody was with me to enjoy the moment. I couldn't believe it was right in front of me.

GW's head of Secret Service detail is a FOXY hot latin woman. That girl got it goin on. Don't recall what her name is I just remember her barking orders and seeing Secret Service kiddies scurry. Yeah, serious as a heart attack about the scope thing. Usually the local LEO sniper team is pulling duty.

Well, in a state of emergency the president could run the country from it, so its gotta be pretty big.

I remember reading that it was fake. If I remember right, the plane he graffitied was a movie prop (the hump on the nose wasn't there like on the real SAM 28000 & 29000).

If anyone wants the hi res pictures, I'll be happy to email them. I'd post them on airliners.net, but they don't accept pictures of any presidential planes.
