Those that do nothing are as bad as those that committed the crime. What could have been done in this situation? He was probably alone, which means no other cop would have known about it, but then I guess we are suppose to use our mental powers and read his mind and turned him in. If a cop is going to do something he will be by himself or with other dirty cops.

All sportbike riders are reckless and irresponsable, if you don't like it, stop crying about it and do something about it. It's not that simple of fix though is it.

So just becuase he was a cop other cops should automatically know that he is bad? So, if you are a computer programmer, you would automatically know whether the computer programmer who is working next to you is a good guy or a bad guy? That could have been any body that committed that crime...in fact people commit rape crimes all the time and you don't see others saying oh you should have known he was a bad guy. But as soon as it is a cop doing it, other cops should know that he was a bad guy? How exactly does that work??

So let me get this right.....say the guy worked for UPS and just walked in night and shot up a whole bunch of people then his co-workers should have seen it coming and prevented it? Anyone remember the postal shootings.....guess those people had it coming for not knowing their co-worker was going to flip out.

The guy was a cop and if it is true that he did this, fry his! Plain and simple.

Yes cops are held to a higher standard then others and we are the target for a lot of people's bullshit complaints and woes. Politicians are held to higher standard but they break far more laws than any other profession, doctors are held to a higher standard but look at how many get arrested for breaking the laws and lose their license, etc... Next time someone breaks into your house.....call your local politician as they have voted in most of the bullshit stuff that people complain about. Don't like getting a ticket for parking on the sidewalk...go to your city council meeting and take it up with them, they passed the law not us, get a ticket for speeding....slow the hell down or expect to get more of them and go to your state lawmakers and bitch to them about it.

I think that is time SBN puts the axe back into effect for the FTP type posts. Posting news is one thing but to post shit just to stir the pot is getting old!

I work in the BPD buildings and McComick State Trooper headquarters frequently. We were actually talking to one of the troopers about this case, and he had said this guy had a perfect trooper record. Passed his exams, and was excellent all through school. There was no way to tell what this guy was going to do. And he did get 8 to 10. Lets hope he's put in GenPop, although that is highly unlikely.

Cops are people, just like everyone else. The difference is the general population is HELPLESS against them. That's not police officer's faults, if anything its the general pop's fault because we directly or indirectly pay them, make the laws they are paid to uphold, etc. We give them their authority, one way or another.

But a doctor can't say I'm going to plant coke on you and lock you up for 10 years can he? In fact, if you were to try to defend yourself it would be assaulting a police officer and you are screwed just as bad. Don't defend yourself, the above happens. Joe bob around the street doesn't have that power. NO ONE else has that power but police officers or other enforces of the law.

That being said, WE give them these powers. We don't live in communist china. There simply is no win/win situation here.

I hope that woman recovers and her family, I literally cannot fathom what I'd do if that happened to a family member of mine. Well, I have one idea of what might happen.
