If alcohol is legal, weed should be too. Although I think legalizing weed would cause the quality of marijuana thats available to go way down.

Just because it's legal doesn't mean anyone can grow and sell it. I'd wager a guess that alcohol quality is above what it was during prohibition.

Well said.

Further, economic elasticities will apply and one should conclude that quality could only increase, not decrease, if prohibition ended.

if weed was legalized, the quality would go up. im not sure by how much, but im sure that it would go up.

With all the anti-tobacco and new smoking laws you dont think philip morris and all the other big tobacco companies havent been planning for when MJ gets legalized? I bet they have had their top scientists developing new ways to grow stronger stains in a faster time for less cost.

Tobacco companies finally selling somthing worth buying FTW!

i don't think it will get better. When has ANYTHING the gov't got it's mitts into gotten better?
Especially if they tax it. Why would they want to sell LESS?

Economics 101.

Decriminalize it, but keep the gov't out of it. I shouldn't do time for a Z in my pocket. But that doesn't mean I want to be scoring a pack of "jibba Lights" at the corner store and paying 50% more on it so the gov't can make a buck. I'd rather grow my own without fear of being busted than buy it at all, much less when it is gonna be just another revenue source for a gov't already wasting my tax money.

Simple decriminalization would suit the average pothead far better than full legalization.

grass has been pushed to its THC limit already. it takes extreme measures to coerce the plant into producing more THC, which is very costly.
