ok...I've been racing SCCA club and pro racing for 6 years...I've driven in five classes so my experience is pretty broad.......i keep my craziness off of the streets for obvious reasons (thanks for calling me a smartguy btw).....going to the track is my passion.....so when people start talking about v8 miatas, pontiac solstices, and "stop light to stop light" I get a ton of second hand embarassment for those people......so i think i'll drop out of this thread and keep my car talk to the other boards i'm on...i'm here for bikes...specifically to learn more about my new bike......so thanks for all the s2k facts and figures!

Wow. Brilliant "logic".

I think maybe you want to just back away from this thread.

So then you agree with whatshisname above that all V8 cars are only good for the straightline??

My point was against his dumb logic revolving around V8 sports cars not being able to handle and only used in a straight line.

My point is that you're apparently horribly out of your depth here, as is evidenced by your halting attempts at logic that fail completely as well as your apparent total lack of what good handling is. Seriously, you compared an SRT 4 to an S2000. Just give up now.

why? They both hyped up cars with obviously flaws, the SRT4 is just priced accordingly and honda seems to think they have a good car.

Dont you think its sad that in 2003/2004 you could get an SVT cobra for the same price as an S2k?

That's why I walked away, you can't win when you're arguing with a wall. I'll keep my car talk to websites that has people that knows about cars, not some magazine racers.

The S2000 is a roadster with a reputedly excellent chassis, roughly 50/50 weight distrobution, and rear wheel drive. The SRT-4 is a Neon with a turbocharged PT Cruiser motor jammed in the front. It handles exactly like you'd imagine a Neon with a turbo PT Cruiser motor jammed in the front would. If you can't understand that the only way to make an SRT-4 handle like an S2000 is to cut the VIN plate off and weld it onto something else, you really don't get to have an opinion. I'm sorry, I don't make the rules, but that's the way it is.

if you had any experience you'd know the only time you're under 5k in an s2000 on a track is exiting the pits....

Yes I like miatas too. They are fun, cheap, and proven to be a nice car for spirited driving.
