You have no clue what you're talking about. The weakest link on the S2K trannie is the clutch. If anything you'll be replacing the clutch. And like I said, the S2K is not drag racing car, it's a whole lot more complete than a drag racer.

Its handling is right with a miata or mini...why waste so much money for a tiny bit of performance?
A competent driver will do circles around a mini, the mazdaspeed miata might be neck and neck but I rather drive an S2K than a girlie-looking miata.

So no miata on that comparison but even the regular C5 vette is a second slower. The mini cooper s is totally ass-whooped being 15 seconds behind. Hey even the Lotus Exige is below the S2000 on that particular track.

Quote:
So a S2k...might be kinda sorta not really worth it if you drive on the track all the time. Otherwise its a slow pos that costs more then many cars that are faster. Dont you think its sad that you might spend 34k to buy this "nice" honda roadster and then while driving it around, you get your ass handed to you by a 24k sentra SE-R.
Please mention any roadster/sportscar in the $30k range that's even close to the S2000's performance. And don't bring the stupid argument about buying some econobox and modify it to beat just about anything at the track. If that's the case, I can get a *insert car here* and build it to be a track monster. A stock sentra SE-R won't keep up with an S2K around the track given that the S2K has a competent driver.

Quote:
If i ever fit in an S2k...can you get me a pillow?? I can take a nap while it strains to get to 5k and make anything that resembles power.
Your ignorance truly shows here. You will be surprised how quick you can get an S2K on its powerband.

And don't get me wrong, I ain't no honda fanboy, I'm a DSM guy which we are known to be honda haters. So yeah I'm no honda fan but the S2000 sure is a nice piece of engineering, that's way better than what you fools label it to be.

You totally missed my point, and you're comparing the S2000 from '00 to a C6. Comparing it to a C5 from '97 (which was totally unchanged in '00) to the S2K is a way more fair comparison.

Let's look at MSRP prices:

2007 Honda S2000: $34,250

2007 Corvette: $44,170 but since you wanna go overboard and compare it to the ZO6 then: $69,175

You are comparing it to a car that's almost 10 grand more expensive, that my friend ain't fair. Also add the fact that the S2000 has remained unchanged since it's debut 7 years ago. And two of those C6 lap times are manufacturer claims which means jack shit. Still it should run close to those times considering it's a completely redesigned car with a whole lot of horsepower.

If i ever fit in an S2k...can you get me a pillow?? I can take a nap while it strains to get to 5k and make anything that resembles power.
THIS MIGHT BE THE MOST REDICULOUS POST I'VE EVER SEEN....don't talk about stuff you don't know about...that's a good rule to live by.

Another note, how many cars produce 120hp/liter, naturally aspirated?

This thread would be a lot better if it wasnt for all the fanboys taking a big fat shit right in the middle of it.

WE are talking about a MAZDA with a FORD motor in it. And here are all you douchebags ragging on about Hondas and Chevies, WTF? You guys wanna jerk each other off go start a thread for it.

K. H. I know you are into excess so if you do Google search you may find the Bullet Super car. It was, may still be built in Australia or New Zealand, I can't remember and don't really care but it was a Miata with a Lexus V8 and had a supercharger as an option. Think the price was around $80,000
