i got screwed on ebay hard...really hard...help please
Backround: sold a cell phone on dec28th. Got payment for 228 instantly. Shipped phone, he got it and said it doesnt work, he did not buy insurance. It worked perfect when i sent it. Now he files a dispute, i never knew he did (dont check my email often) i just now saw an email that says paypal decided i owe him 50 bucks....however on my paypal acct they took 175 out and now i have a 125 negative balance. This kid took the phone then got his money back. The kicker is he resold the phone on ebay, so he made 200 bucks off this deal.
cliff notes: sold phone for 228, he got it then resold it and got his money back from me on paypal....what should i do....i have his adress, email, phone number everything?
he is some 18 year old kid to....i just called and he hung up on me

oh and legally if i give you guys his addy tele number and stuff can i be in legal trouble for that....im willing to get a lawyer to send him a letter on this one....it is one thing to take your money back from me...its another to then resell the phone again

I'd watch his feedback on your phone he just sold. If it comes back negative, maybe you can contact the buyer and establish a papertrail of deceit on this guy. I mean, he was shadey to do what he did to you. He could be shadey enough to sell a broken phone again.

I'm not the expert on paypal and ebay but I think you can contact ebay and tell them the same thing you said in this thread. They will investigate and come to some kind of conclusion...hopefully in your favor. ALSO I would make a complaint to paypal...doesn't ebay have some square deal thingy to help sellers who get scammed?
Anyway Officer has done a lot with paypal and ebay I'll ask him to look at your post when he wakes up and see if he has any info for you. Good Luck!!

i got screwd on Ebay myself, i got scammed for 5,000 trying to buy a bike that never existed. EBAY sat on there hands and told me that they would cover up to 175 i think. i told them to go piss up a rope.
