Can someone help me register a domain?

What's the best place to go with? I need to register a domain plus hosting. I don't know jack about this stuff. No money trees are found in my back yard so the cheaper the better. I'll register for a YEAR. I hate contracts so a year is good enough for me.

I think it depends on what you're looking to actually host as to what you can get away with. Meaning features you'll need and features you won't need.

You may want to look at http://www.omnis.com/ ... they have cheap plans with nice features and they're highly rated. I used http://www.hostingu.com/ for my hosting. Of course it wasn't a huge site or anything, just for fun but, I never had problems with them. Plus it was really easy to work with.

serverway.net. They have a 20 BUCKS A YEAR hosting deal that may work well for you.

Yahoo domain registration is 10.95 if you go to yahoo, or 4.95 if you access it off Google

Both make it easy

My bad, I don't have anything to say about GoDaddy hosting, but I buy the hell out of their $7 dollar domains, you can't screw up being a registrar, ya know?

I've registered several domains through GoDaddy.com and even hosted a site with them. No problems here.
