That is messed up.I know State Farm won't give one up here.

You would think they try to encourage riders to be as safe as possible.

This is only a theory but check this out. Young riders take MSF course which yields two benefits, they can ride better and get cheaper insurance. From riding better they gain confidence in their skills and ride faster and attempt stunts. Same riders have more accidents in which the insurance company now doesnt care if you take a safety course or not. lol

Sucks though. I just noticed you have a 600 which should be rather cheap to insure anyway right?

Its not bad at all. . .unless I want full coverage, then F that because the quote goes up 1800 dollars!!! It just sucks they all said as a perk of taking the class is not only your skills but a 10% discount on insurance.

HA! I only pay an average of $450 a yr for FULL coverage w/ a 250-500 ded. HA! HA! God it's great to be old and have no tickets! I checked to insure a 05 600RR w/ the same coverage as my F3, that'll only run me $750 ish a yr.. With the MSF, I still get an extra 10% off.... Honda Riders Club member another 10%, and AMA another 5%.....

Yeah, all the insurance companies I've had have said no discount for MSF. I've been with Progressive, MSI, and State Farm. I'm not complaining though, $350 a year for full coverage with high liability works for me.

ANY ... AAANNNYYY kind of justification for the MSF making you a worse, or more dangerous rider is completely fucking moronic...

There is NO way that a rider can come out of the MSF worse off than when they started it...

I cant believe the ins companies would stop giving ( or just give a minute ) discount for the MSF class... I cannot imagine a person that *at least* shows the respect for the motorcycle enough to want to learn correctly would not be in a lower risk category for insurance... fucking ludicrious.

Yeah, that's cheesy. I have the BRC and the ERC, and both courses seem pretty much useless.

They dropped Texas a few years ago. Ask if they give a discount for membership in certain riding clubs. I lost my MSF discount only to gain it back because of one of my clubs.

Tried both, would not give discount before I become a senior citizen, plus they were too expensive anyways.
