...posting links to the races video file is however very appreciated
btw... as the links to the files always come as hxxt://blablabla.com/link.wmv and your supposed to copy/past it in address bar, the video file will always open in a player and begin to stream, i don't like to stream stuff and i would guess others don't either, especially if u haven't such a fast connection. So here is what i did last season: simple, quick and just what u want....
+ open the notepad
+ enter in the html "code" (including the <html> until </html> )
<html>
<head>
<body>
<a href="address">Rightclick, save as...</a>
</body>
</html>
+ now go "file/save as..." and where it says "Save as type" click on "all files"
+ now name the file "downloader.html" or "anyname.html", just the ".html" is important
+ when you now have the address where the video file is saved and you do not want to stream it first, right click on the just created html file and open it with the notepad and where it says "address" enter the complete direction.
+ save the changes, close the notepad, open the html file with your browser (internet explorer or firefox etc) and there u have a link sayin "right click, save as..." do that and u can save it and once it done, watch it...
I KNOW, there are different ways but this is how i do it and i have noticed that many ppl say "oh thats kinda handy" when they see me using it...
i tried to explain it so that everybody understands and for those "specialists", pls keep the "oh thats so lame" comments at home...
sry ducman for this long post in your thread but i thought it might help out some fellow sportbikers here
