Default Shadow's Fall

Anyone else dig Shadow's Fall?

I saw them with Damageplan in November and thought they were good. I wasn't familiar with them much before the show and after i picked up their new album and like it more and more.

Sort of a cross between old style 80's metal mixed with more extreme vocals. A classic two guitar attack with both guitarists being alot better than most of the guys out there today. Once I had the album and was able to discern the guitars a little more over the drum and vocals, they really stand out as able to play more than alot of bands these days.
The second guitarist can sing well on back up. Lead vocals are better off at a scream, but it still works well for the music.
It's almost nostaglic to hear a band that has those elements missing since the 80's in most metal music.

I saw them this summer at Strhessfest.

That guy has some emeffin' crazy hair! I can't even remember what they sounded like due to being mezmorized by him swinging his waist-length dreaded hair in circles in front of him.

The only thing I remember about them playing is that there were crazy mofos in the mosh pit stomping people and being rowdy. Not that I mind...but when those guys played and when Converge played...there were people running at the front and like...climbing up people with their feet to get towards the stage. Kinda freaked me out at first, then I figured out to just help them up instead of getting stomped.

Just thought I'd share my experience with Shadows Fall.

[/end rambling]

I havn't heard much Shadows Fall, but hopefully they are good. Im going to see them, Slipknot, all that remains, and lamb of God in march in hotlanta. Should be pretty wild.

I saw Arch Enemy on the Jagermeister tour with Slayer. Little chick singer. If you didn't see she had tits, you'd never know it was a woman growling.
Not bad though.
Saw slipknot not too long ago too. Good show but the sound system sucked. Just fuzzed out most of the bass.
Last show I saw was Slayer in December. I showed up just 5 minutes before they hit the stage. Missed Mastadon opening.
Of course, there is no bad Slayer show. Just fucking mad chaos from beginning to end. There was still a pit going when they walked off stage before the encore. Still going when they came back on.
