College + GF = good thing?

I'm a freshman in college and I have already gotten a semi-serious girlfriend. She's cool as hell (not moody, watches football, can hang around my friends, etc.). The only problem I have with her is that she has a rough history with guys, if you know what I mean, and I think you do. She's lived in a city about 45 minutes away from me and I know three guys who have seen what I've seen. I haven't been much of a promiscuous guy throughout high school and I haven't dated girls who are. She tells me she used to drink a lot and I've seen her a few times just plastered off of her ass where she can hardly function. All of my friends tell me to bail on her and date around, but something tells me to keep her because I haven't dated many "cool" girls who don't whine and complain, and not to mention, enjoy watching football!
The only thing is, I'm really struggling with this whole past thing, though we've tried to talk it out. I just don't trust her when she goes out with her friends drinking. I've already had to go pick her up at some house and carry her to my car and up the stairs to my room at 4 in the morning, but she says that type of thing won't happen again.
Bail or hold on?

ouch! thats a tough one. This is one of those times, where you really have to wieght the pros and cons, and really do what you feel is right. But if you dont trust her, then i would say, there is no point! People have no idea how important trust is in a relationship! without, you have nothing but insecurities and doubts. and thats no way to have a relationship.

If she is a hooker she is a hooker. Sounds like your just insecure. Who cares about her past. The past is history. If you like her you should date her and if your being a puss because she knows how to get it on and has in her life you dont need to be with her. Go find a chick that is prude and your moral trust will be saved.

I used to be all jealous and found it to be a total waste of time. You cant stop someone from cheating if your two minutes from here or two days from her. She will do what she wants and thats that.

Now, if you can be a big boy and just have fun with her, have a great time. No one said she was your wife, so just relax and if she cheats you will be the victor by showing her what she just fucked up on

ok, what is with this "past" shit. How f@cking irksome is it that guys can have a past, but when women do, it's hard to handle?! WTF?!?! hahah! Look, grow up. Shes had other dicks in her mouth, and yes prolly her crack, but right now, she wants your dick. Why can't you see it that way? As for the drinking. She's young!! Let her drink. If she feels the need to go out and drink till she passes out, pukes on herself ext ext. So what. You'll find out soon enough if she's getting plastered and sitting on some other dudes dick. If she isn't, whats the deal? Till that happens, find it in yourself to TRUST her. Seems she trusts you. Why can't you do the same?

Relax, have fun. That's what relationships are suposed to be.. FUN! If they're anything else but, why bother?

as for the find the trust in yourself part...fuck that! theres a reason you dont trust her. it could be cuz your just an insecure guy, or there could just be something about her that you dont rust...in both cases, quit wasting your time...because your never gonna learn to totally 100% trust her so you are wasting both yours and her time

No need for a girlfriend in college. In my opinion girls in college are all "too friendly" with guys in school. If you are looking for a girl-friend try looking for one thats out of school or doesn't go to school.

Have fun, date around, and use protection.

the past is the past - leave it there - don't talk about it and don't dwell on it...
just let the relationship roll - worst case scenario she fucks some other guy and then you move on to your next girlie.....you have to trust her until she gives a reason not to - and her past isn't a reason not to - it's the past it don't count anymore.... you just have to trust her and hope she learned from the past.... you're in school -why do we study history - so we don't make the same mistakes......if you're really into her then give her the chance she deserves - and who gives a fuck what other people think

past has passed. as long as she isn't choking down a bunch of strange dicks with her bud-lite who really cares what she used to do. sometimes people do things that are completley out of character and stop when they come to their senses. maybe she was just waiting for the right guy to come around, like you.

if you like her don't worry about what she has done. don't feel jealous about the other guy(s) that shot hot, steaming loads in, on or near her. all they got was the physical.

I think you should let her past be what it is--her past. Just because yours is different is no need to judge hers. So, she likes to drink...she's also in college and I'm guessing a freshman since you said you were. I think I drank more in my first semester of college than all the time after combined.

Just by reading your post, it seems you think a lot of this girl, but you're worrying too much about things that shouldn't matter...like what other people think and things she did before she met you. I have a rule...whatever a guy has done before the day he met me shoudln't be an issue.

You named the thread a g/f in college?? But that doesn't seem to be the real issue. It's more about this specific girl. If you like her, stay with her. If she proves you wrong and starts cheating on you, then leave her and let it be a lesson learned.

Her past may be past, but you can certainly look to that for a pattern of behavior.
She got around some? Okay. but was it when hammered? Was she cheating on one guy for another? Did she jump ship on one dude when the material things stopped rolling in?

While the specifics of her past aren't your domain to judge, if you see a pattern develop, then absolutely you can make a decision based on that.
For example- my wife admitted to a past before me (and it was only a couple years) that was pretty much trailer trash in training.
Lo and behold, 8 1/2 years later I'm divorcing her because she's pretty much trailer park trash.Her behavior hasn't changed.
More importantly- and this is critical- the stuff she did before that she either justified or simply refused to see as wrong, is the EXACT same stuff she does now, and still doesn't think is all that bad.

Patterns, man. If you see a pattern, don't expect that to change.

By the time you are late 20's or 30's you are not going to find normal women who have not been with a dozen guys. So get over it. If you like her fine, if not move on.
