Exclamation * Caution * * * DELL LAPTOP OWENERS * * * <-- Read this...

FYI -- About 4.4 million AC adapters sold worldwide with Dell notebooks between September 1998 and February 2002 were recalled Friday.

Dell sold the adapters with its Latitude, Inspiron and Precision series of computers, as well as separately. Delta Electronics, based in Taipei, Taiwan, manufactured them.

As part of the recall, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission advised consumers who suspect they have one of the adapters to contact the company. Dell will send free replacements to customers with the recalled adapters.

The recalled adapters can overheat, posing a risk of fire and electrical shock. Dell reported seven incidents of overheating, although no one was reported injured. The Round Rock, Texas-based computer maker has set up a Web site for the recall program.

Got this in my email from a newsletter...

Talking

^^^ LOL I think it has alot to do with the ahem.... "welfare" of the populace... I always find the BEST shit in the big bux neighborhood of Kahala Homes average price starts at about $10 - 20 mil no land included.... ya hafta lease that. Land is about 1 - 5 mil a acre

When I was the maintance manager of a high end condo by where I live I used to keep the Trash Dumpster room LCCKED! Peeps would throw complete computers VCR's Stereos speakers Big Screen TV's fawk 90% of it worked fine! I even got a $4000 Teak enterainment center wall unit with glass shelves glass doors and remotly operated TV display that would open the doors hiding it, and slide the big ass TV I have out so ya could watch it! Aint no cheesy particle board veneer shit... its real teak built like the inside of a nice sailboat

All from movers or upgraders. I used to make more from the trash room than I did from my paycheck!!!

*HUGE ASS SIGH*

I have the biggest problem with Dell already.

I bought a brand new inspiron computer from them about a year and a half ago (right as they started with that new design).

The specs are pretty kickass, seeing how not much has changed since I bought it.

Well, its slow as shit! Take probably 10 mins to load up, and some other shit isn't right.

A LOT of computer science grads and students have looked at this thing and they really can't figure out whats wrong. I reformat and its the same. Btw, its NOT the specs, my previous computer had worse specs and it ran like a dream.

I can't use Macromedia Flash, Adobe Premier, and some other programs because it can't handle it....and most games are definitly out.

Since then I have purchased the comp I have now. It is a desktop, and it has:

-P4 2.6 Ghz 800MHz CPU
-1GB Memory
-120 GB 7200RPM IDE HDD ATA (Hard Drive)
-16X Sony DVD-ROM Drive
-DVR 8X NEC 8X DVD +/- RW Recorder
-nVida FX5600 256M/8x/DVI
...blah blah blah -- list goes on --
AND
- !!! LCD 18" LCD/TV (SL/BK) TFT Monitor!!!
THE MONITOR KICKS ASS!!!

This thing came with a 5.1 speaker system as well.

And the WHOLE thing costed me $1600 !! HAHA

Courtesy of www.internetishop.com (located in Pasadena, CA)

Bottom Line: DELL sucks the big one. My new comp (which is actually a few months old now), can do ANYTHING. I multitask like mad while still having games up and this thing is faster than imaginable.

lol, sorry for the long post!

Sorry to hear that.... bummer man.

On that note I've said this to hundreds of people, if you want to spend thousands buy something someone else put together. prepare for heartache ahead.

You want fast n fun something you can be proud of and enjoy spend a little effort of love on and save the bux for something worth your work go make it yourself... then ya can only blame yourself...

yeah, whats cool about that internetishop place is that they build anything custom for you, but at the time they had TONS of parts for this one computer and they through it together in this one package which only costed 1600! I swear I would have paid easily twice as mich if I bought from dell or something like that.

This thing works miralces!!
