It may have been posted before, and I think I MIGHT have been down this road before, but it's been a few years.
Highway 74A heading to Lake Lure in Asheville.
This road is the shit! Tighter curves than SV, probably as tight as Deals Gap, and almost no traffic. I might have seen 4 cars on it today. The curves come as quick as they do at Deals Gap. Nice clean, fresh looking pavement, no gravel, but there are a few houses on the road. Most looked either like old and abondoned, or vacation homes.
Super awesome. Made me wish I had the bike with me!

Yeah, that's a fun road. I first discovered it with the Camaro when my brother was living in Black Mountain, and when I did my ride to Chattanooga earlier this year, I specifically detoured so I could go through there. If you go on the weekends there's a guy who sets up and snaps photos- he got a couple of me on my way home.
220 or 221, cant remember, going from Asheville to Boone kicks ass. Did that one a LOT when I was in school at App.
If this is the same road I'm thinking of, Mike (Kazlab) and I nearly high sided ourselves off the road in Boone. More often than not, the corners are filled with gravel, and a lot of the road is to narrow for me to want to haul ass around. I'll pass.

HAHA....yeah man I thought the same exact thing....
The road is 221...I believe that was one of my best saves and scariest moments on a motorcycle...Great road but there is gravel in every blind curve...
I live about 20 minutes from the where it looks like it starts getting good right before Gerton. Might have to try it out.
Thanks for the tip, since I just moved to Arden a few months ago.
