Default So which part should I get for the new bike?

I've got about $800 to work with for aftermarket goodies on the new bike.

$675 or so of it will be ate up in Givi luggage (saddle and trunk bags).

This leaves me with a little over $100 to get either A) a new windscreen, OR B) a throttle lock.

All I'm planning for trips in the next 4 to 6 months are a few trips to SV. Whichever I don't get now, I'll get in a few months.

Pick my part.

I'd say the throttle lock that chris has. i don't see the windscreen making that big of a difference in creature comforts.

You're right. Windscreen won't do much good until cold weather hits. Until then, it'll likely hurt comfort (less air on me, more OVER me).

But still, I can't decide to go for looks, or function on this one.

I don't want to get my hands dirty any more often than I have to and I'm lazy, but I ride my bike a lot, so I would be all about getting a scottoiler or loobman ASAP.

That, along with about $1500 worth of other things, will come later.

After this order, I'm planning on getting Exhaust, PC III, Yellow Box, Sprocket change, Corbin Seat, Heli-Bars, Scottoiler, Frame Sliders. and I'm sure I'm leaving something else out as well. Altogether, I'll have around $2500 - $3k in aftermarket shit....but all this will come somewhat slowly.

You're going to love the givi top and side cases. Some people are turned off by the euro-look , but they are damn functional and I like the look . People say, look at the scooter, then say, damn that's a fast scooter. How much will the Corbin seat cost? I wish there were a good third party seat option for my bike. I've considered getting somebody to put in a gel pad, but I dunno...

Oh yeah.... FRAME SLIDERS!

Yup...top and side cases. Honestly, I could care less what others think about it. It's MY bike, and *I* am the one that gets to ride it.

I've found a place that I can get a Corbin for around $260 (as opposed to the normal $300). The Corbin, and Heli-Bars will be the next items I get. Then, everything else.

Nice, Will won the lotto!

Back on topic.. I think you should get the throttle lock, more useful for the long trips, plus if you decide to do a IB time trial, you'll be set.

Yup...throttle lock seems like the logical choice.

the throttle lock on my bike only cost 19.99 and works great. then use the other 80 for frame sliders.

I assume you're using the Vista Cruise or similar? I WOULD use that, except for one problem. They won't work with heated grips (wires get in the way). I tried that on the F4i, and it wouldn't even come close to working, no matter what I did.

Here's my list of crap I'll be ordering tonite.

I think that's the one I have. I bought the one for Yamaha sport bikes and the bracket didn't fit. I had to make a custom bracket out of some metal and painted it black to match.

Absolutely NOT!

I actually ended up not getting the throttle lock or windscreen. Got some reflective 3M stuff for the bags to make the bike a little more visible at night instead.

Aren't those E21's a tad on the small side? I like how they open from the top.
