Default MSF class review

If you're not a newb, it sucks. The tasks are so elementary it was boring and new riders were limiting my ability to drag the pegs of the beater suzuki cruiser they put me on. But at least my insurance will go down afterwards ;)

Oh well, one more day left.

why didn't you just take the ERC instead? There were 3 guys that got tested at the end of the course to get their license endorsement, otherwise there was no test at the end. We all got our completion cards to get discounts with insurance.

This is the test that they give after the ERC in order for you to get your full endorsement:

I think he took it to accompany his GF who's new to riding.
How'd she do, BTW?

she's doing great, i'm glad she took the class b/c i think it is really building her confidence. oh, and they just happened to have a ninja 250 there, beat all to shit, but at least she has a bike to ride that is similar.

yeah, in hindsight, i think the erc would have been better for me.

I've seen that video before and I love it. It sooo makes me want to pick up an ex250 or similar. That would actually be a fun bike for my commute, but then, so is my current bike.

Do ll insurance companies give a discount for completing the MSF basic rider's course?

I took it before I bought my first bike and don't remember if I asked State Farm if they gave discounts. I think I still have the "graduation" card around here somewhere.

everyone that has taken the MSF courses should call their insurance to find out if they get a discount. when i went through i had geico and they gave me a decent one since i went on to take all 3 to become an instructor on base. in 15 min i saved 50 bucks a month

No, not all of them do. I think Progressive and Nationwide do, but then again they should since their rates are usualluy stupid high, at least for my less than stellar insurance rating.
