There's a long ass story that goes with that picture. Here's a quick paraphrase:
Went up with a group of bikers and evo's to deals gap saturday. Left late, trailer that was hauling two bikes detached, SUV hauling the trailer broke down, ride bike to get the bikes, everyone rode bikes to deals gap, didn't get there till 6pm late saturday. Next day, ride deals gap, I wreck my 600rr halfway through, waited over an hour for the evo friends to turn around, they drift pass my curve, tried to flag them down, they just waved back not seeing my wrecked bike on the side of the road. Ghetto rigged/fixed the RR to be ridable, left around 3.30pm with no headlight, ended up getting pulled around 10pm near chapel hill, again in Cary, didn't get home till 1am. Almost got arrested.
FHEW, that's the gist of it. I'll give you guys the whole story later and add more pics. Took over 3gb worth of pics this weekend with the Rebel XTi.
Btw, I had full gear on when I wrecked. Even bought the full dainese back protector friday night at cycle gear. Pretty much the gear saved my life and money. I prolly bought about 700 bucks worth of new gear and parts for this trip alone. Travel saddle bags are awesome. Brought every tool to work on the bike, and boy was I glad I had them along.
I don't remember, just bought them at the honda dealership friday. They just got it in that day too and the only one in stock left. So much stuff you can fit in them. I had my laptop, camera setup, Every piece of tool you would ever need to work and disassemble a bike, brake fluid, chain lube, wd40, extra pair of shoes, 2 days of clothes, tripod, and still had room for more shit. Since I knew the guy at teampowersports, they gave me a 10% off when I bought the saddle bags and tank bag together.
I am kinda glad I wasn't able to go with all of you guys b/c of work. I heard you were all going way too fast on teh interstate and didn't have really good plans as things started to break or as people got separated. Not that you can always plan for that, but the borrowing of things sure lends itself to trouble. Glad everyone made it back in one piece though.

Hi my name is JoHannah and I like it when people spell my name correctly. So now there are no excuses!
I glad you made it back ok, but I don't have any remorse for people who get pulled over... twice especially. Wrecking your bike out there just proves one of two things, 1) you were probably going waaaayy to fast, or 2) (commong mistake) target fixation.
Hope you had fun anyway. I may go out there this weekend actually. Not decided yet.

Nope, I have no idea why my bike slipped out from under me. I was going in the curve just fine, I wrecked at the end of the curve, looking ahead at the next curve, then the front tire just slips out from under me. Even the camera guy that was at the curve figured I was ok and looked as though I was gonna make it. I didn't feel I was above my skill level and felt really comfortable. I checked the road and the road was clear of debris, no oil spots or anything, just some shitty luck.
And honestly, suzukichic01, I know your trying to face facts, but I'm so mad and piss off right now that I take offense to your comment. People are just not understanding when shit happens and thats the major problem with today. Miscommunication or assumptions. Try not to make an ass out of you or me. Atleast the Cary cop was understanding and let me go home with no warning. I honestly tried very hard to get a truck and trailer it up there, but no dice.
I didn't mean to make you mad, you didn't really give any details about how's and why's with the wreck and the pull over. I was also just giving general reasons why riders go down out there. I'm sorry you went down, truely, and glad you're ok.

Jbaz, sorry to hear of your misfortune. That really sucks. I take it the cop pulled ya b/c of the headlight?? Glad you were able to get it fixed and were able to get home.
Will it take much to get the bike fixed back up? Oh, and did you put anything on "The" tree at the resort?
